HERALDIC DESCRIPTION OF THE ARMS OF IRONWOOD

On a Ringed Target Sable, Argent, within the ring the Dragon Mnementh Volant

Reaching with his right forelimb.

Applied to the outer part of the target, in the Angerthas Erebor, the words:

He Who Has Felt The Hand Of God ― Ward Wilson

The target is surrounded by the words:

“You Know What You Are Here For ― Do The Work

In Times New Roman Three Line Type

HISTORY OF THE ARMS OF IRONWOOD

The Original Arms, The Ringed Target, came to Ward Wilson in the period

1972 / 1974. The choice of the Angerthas (See Return Of The King, J.R.R.Tolkien),

for the text was a reaction to the use of Latin in other coats of arms.

Ironwood and Associations was created in 1980 – 1983. It is one of the results

of working with the Edmonton Science fiction & Comic Arts Society Writers Workshop.

The Surround is an instruction to an adoptive son of his wife by Yasuha Messias

Ben Yousif, given on April 5/6, 1995, and added to the Arms sometime later.
